The "Schefflera gold capella" commonly known as the "Umbrella Tree" is a native to Taiwan and South China, however, closer to home here in Ireland, it is grown as a very ornamental and decorative houseplant.
Usually multi-trunked it has very decorative shiny palmate leaves, dark green in colour with stunning irregular splashes of golden yellow variegation. Individual leaves are made up of between 7-16 individual leaflets radiating out in an umbrella-like fashion.
An effective plant for filtering and purifying air, it is a popular houseplant and great for providing a focal point in either office or home.
