The "Zamioculcas Zamifolia" or "ZZ plant" is one of the most popular indoor plants thanks to its glossy leaves and incredibly easy care nature. Its upright stems are covered in small, smooth leaves that give the plant a bold, sculptural look, making it a stylish addition to homes and offices.

This hardy houseplant grows in thick stems that can reach up to three feet indoors, with fleshy leaves that help the plant store water and tolerate a wide range of indoor conditions. Because of this, the ZZ plant is known as one of the toughest indoor plants and is perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a low maintenance plant.

ZZ plants can thrive in medium to low light and require very little attention to stay healthy. In fact, the most common mistake with this plant is overwatering. Allowing the soil to dry between waterings will help keep your ZZ plant happy and thriving.

  • Likes semi shade in summer, brighter in winter. Keep away from direct sunlight.
  • Keep the compost moist at all times but do not allow to become too soggy. 
  • Water only once the top inches of soil becomes dry.
