The Monstera (130 cm in height) also know as the Swiss Cheese plant is a tropical specimen that has aerial roots shooting downwards from the stem. These roots can hang, giving this plant a vine-like propensity. The Swiss cheese plant gets its name from its big, heart-shaped leaves, which as it ages, grows with holes like Swiss cheese
The Swiss cheese plant likes full sun, however, it will adjust to a little shade. It wants moist soil. This plant thrives best in warm conditions and requires high humidity.
The plant can be grown as a container plant inside and performs well when trailed on poles or trellises. Allow the soil to dry out somewhat between waterings.
