The "Spider Plant" or "Clorophytum comosum" is a wonderful indoor plant and one of the most adaptable of houseplants due to its minimal care requirements. Loved for its arching green and cream striped leaves, this classic houseplant is perfect for beginners and experienced plant lovers alike.
The name “Spider Plant” comes from the small baby plants, known as spiderettes, that grow from the mother plant and cascade down like spiders on a web. These trailing plantlets make spider plants especially beautiful in hanging pots or on shelves where their foliage can spill naturally.
Spider plants are incredibly easy care plants and can tolerate a wide range of conditions, making them ideal for homes, offices and workspaces. They are also widely known for their air purifying qualities. In fact, NASA included the Spider Plant in its research on plants that help improve indoor air quality.
With minimal care, this resilient indoor plant will happily grow in almost any room, bringing fresh greenery and character to your space.
