The "Strelitzia Nicolai" commonly known as the bird of paradise or wild banana, is a species of banana-like plants with erect woody stems reaching up to a height of 6 m, and the clumps formed can spread as far as 3.5 m.
Unlike its big sister the "Strelitzia Regina", this variety has a smaller flower and can take up to 5 years to bloom.
This plant measures in at approx. 35-40cm in height with 6-8 leaves.
