Beaucarnea nolina - Pony Tail Plant

The "Beaucarnea nolina" or  "Pony Tail Plant" is a Mexican native and makes an excellent addition to any home with its sleek bulb-like trunk and long, lush curly leaves. 

Oddly enough, a ponytail palm tree is neither a palm nor a tree. In fact, it is a member of the Agave family and is actually a succulent.

It requires pretty low maintenance, making it ideal for any novice plant owners.

Notes: This small variety measures in at approx 35cm in height.
