The Snake Plant (Sansevieria trifasciata), also known as Mother in Law’s Tongue, is one of the most popular indoor plants thanks to its bold upright leaves and incredibly easy care nature. Its tall green leaves are marked with distinctive wavy stripes, giving the plant its well known nickname.
Snake plants are extremely adaptable houseplants and thrive in a wide range of indoor conditions. They are happy in medium to bright light but can also tolerate lower light areas, making them a reliable choice for homes and offices. Their hardy nature and minimal care requirements make them one of the best plants for beginners.
In addition to their striking appearance, snake plants are also well known for their air purifying qualities and ability to help improve indoor air quality. With very little maintenance, they can add height, structure and greenery to any room.

Care Instructions
- Temperatures need to be kept above 10°C.
- Position in a bright spot but avoid too much direct sunlight.
- Rotate the pot every other week for even light exposure
- Let soil dry out significantly between watering, especially in the winter months.
